The long-time leader of the Cincinnati Bearcats is hosting a coaching clinic. Who better to learn a new coaching perspective than from Mick Cronin? Cronin boasts a pretty impressive resume in his tenure with Cincinnati. He was named the 2014 AAC Coach of the Year and his Bearcats have appeared in each of the last five NCAA tournaments — including a trip to the 2012 Sweet 16 — while compiling a 124-49 overall mark since the start of the 2010-11 campaign.
Cronin is a stickler for defense, and we all know defense wins games. UC’s D ranked among the nation’s top 10 in scoring defense in three of the past four seasons and listed in the top 20 in field-goal shooting % defense each of the last three years.
Here in Kentucky, we love our basketball. I know we also love our Wildcats and Cardinals, but Mick Cronin has proved himself as a competitor and is looking to spread his knowledge. Coach Cronin is interested in reaching out to all coaches, male and female, all across our great state, and Cincinnati isn’t a great distance.
Here at Bluegrass Basketball, we love seeing our schools succeed. Any way you can gain a competitive edge for your Road to Rupp is worth it in the end — so Coaches, I implore you to look into making this trip. Most of all, make this connection with Coach Cronin and his staff. You never know when you’ll have an athlete worthy of their level of play, and developing a personal relationship with college coaches makes you a more valuable asset to your team.
Find out more info here. The clinic is on October 10th; It’s only $100 and will be one of the best $100 you spend this season.
